The warmup system protects new and reactivated accounts by gradually increasing activity over time. It combines browsing activity (watching reels) with a controlled DM ramp-up so your account builds a natural-looking history before running at full capacity.

Why warmup matters

Instagram monitors new accounts closely. If you start sending DMs at high volume immediately, your account risks being flagged or suspended. The warmup system prevents this by mimicking how a real person would naturally increase their activity over time.

Two warmup systems

Clianta has two complementary warmup systems:

Open account settings

Go to your group → click the account → open the Warmup & Ramp section.

Enable ramp-up

Toggle the ramp-up on.

Choose a template

Select how aggressively you want to ramp up.

Choose a duration

Pick 7 days (faster) or 14 days (safer).

What happens during warmup

During each warmup session, your account browses Instagram reels naturally:
  • Watches each reel for a variable duration (some short, some longer)
  • Occasionally likes a reel or follows a creator
  • Pauses between reels at random intervals
  • Sessions are spread across your working hours
The activity patterns vary day to day — some days are more active, others are lighter. This mimics real human behavior.

Warmup leads

When you choose “Auto-source for me,” Clianta handles warmup leads for you automatically — no cost, no manual work needed. Your account sends generic friendly messages to these leads during the ramp-up period. When ramp-up completes, the warmup lead list is automatically deactivated so your account switches to your real outreach leads.
Warmup leads are provided at no cost on all plans. You don’t need to source or import them yourself.

Rest days

Every 5–8 days, each account gets an automatic rest day — no outbound DMs are sent, and browsing activity is reduced. This happens automatically and requires no configuration.

DM block recovery

If Instagram temporarily blocks your account’s DMs during ramp-up, Clianta automatically:
  1. Pauses DM sending
  2. Reduces the daily cap to 50% of the blocked level
  3. Gradually recovers at 10% per day (minimum +2, maximum +8 DMs per day) until back to normal

Pausing and resuming

You can pause or resume ramp-up from the account settings. When paused:
  • No DMs are sent
  • Browsing activity (reels warmup) continues
  • Ramp-up progress is frozen — it picks up where it left off when resumed
